About HoochieCon

Founded in 2022 by the Hoochie Historian Zorine Truly, HoochieCon emerged with a mission to celebrate and research the vibrant world of Hoochie culture. With a deep passion for cultural exploration and community connection, HoochieCon quickly grew into a dynamic space dedicated to honoring the diverse facets of Hoochie culture through engaging events and content.

A significant milestone for HoochieCon has been its inaugural three-day event in Los Angeles. This groundbreaking celebration featured a lively dance party, an eclectic all black art exhibit, and a bustling black owned  vendor market. The event captured the essence of Hoochie Culture and received widespread acclaim, with features in esteemed publications such as Essence, LA Times, Black Enterprise, and Teen Vogue.

Since its inception, Hoochiecon has evolved into a vibrant community with a dedicated following of over 100,000 members. Beyond its events, the community has made an impact through its creation of detailed and entertaining Hoochie History Videos, which explore the rich stories and evolution of Hoochie culture.

Today, HoochieCon continues to thrive as a cultural hub, celebrating Hoochie heritage and fostering a passionate and engaged community. With its ongoing commitment to inclusivity and innovation, Hoochiecon is poised to make lasting contributions to the cultural landscape for years to come.
